Playing along with Trump's anti-science crusade here is his NASA administrator Jared Isaacman saying we need to be cutting NASA science programs in response to Neil DeGrasse Tyson saying the asteroid is a good reminder we need to fund science. This is the opposite direction humanity needs to go in with space exploration. We need way more science funding in so many areas of NASA and the whole point of science is we should let the scientists figure out what's important not go around penny pinching from their projects if it doesn't fit the admins profit + military priorities. I was hoping Jared would be of Trump's least bad picks but I'm not sure now. Public needs to push back on this and demand full funding for NASA science programs. It's so important for humanity.
