Before getting angry over a friend's silence, make sure they are truly okay.

 Sometime ago, I was reluctant to check up on a friend because I was going through stuff at that time and was of the assumption that she was supposed to be looking out for me.

 Little did I know that my friend was battling a liver issue in the hospital all those while I was complaining to our mutual friends about how she hadn't called or texted me. 

So I have made it a duty to check up on others, to be the friend I wish I had during that time. 

I reach out, ask how they're doing, and truly listen. 
A simple hello or how are you? can go a long way in showing we care.
