I used to think burnout meant I needed sleep. R&R. A beach vacay. Thanks to therapy, I now realize it means I need a break from whatever is burning me out. I was burnt to a crisp when I left for ETHDenver this year. Did I rest while I was there? Hell no. But I still returned with energy I didn’t have when I left.✨

In 2014 I brought the guy I was in a situationship with to a Jersey City ER. He then returned to CA, forced to relearn how to walk. I later learned it was an overdose. I’d been oblivious and naive. I learned patience, empathy, and unconditional love. Our past was tumultuous. Our present is together, supportive.✨
