When I look for notebooks I look for notebooks that are not light-colored, I like a slightly crafty color and feel on the sheets, as well as a moderately interesting notebook cover for my taste.

Have you considered trying out some vintage-style notebooks? They often have a more crafty color palette and unique covers that might align well with your preferences. Plus, the paper quality tends to be great for writing!
