Reflecting on my first v2 frame, the biggest advantage of building a frame is getting distribution amongst a small group of cryptonative early adopters. Biggest disadvantage is that the total reach is limited at the moment. It would be hard to imagine getting meaningful user #s from just the Farcaster ecosystem alone.

I wonder if there is a good way to leverage the value of having cryptonative early adopters to bootstrap community and marketing for a full product launch beyond the Farcaster ecosystem. Has anyone successfully done this?

What reach did you get and how much more would it need to be to convince you to keep building ?

You’re right, but don’t underestimate point 1 - success here could fuel expanding reach on new clients or outside Farcaster

You can build your app as a standalone site too using the same code base and the farcaster frame sdk. At least thats the approach that I'm trying with Songbirdz 😀 Coinbase Wallet is supposed to be pushing out frames to their users at some point soon as well

similar trajectory for us. no doubt the protocol is poised to grow significantly this year, but we wanted to take control of our own destiny

I have the same question. Is it about the product fit or the visibility of the casts/frames https://warpcast.com/jastra/0x18a8a43b

use Farcaster as your testing ground, but don’t let it be your ceiling
