Absurd. Trudeau has been promising affordable housing for NINE - 9!! - years. And every election season he pulls the same bag of demand inducing tricks that have only made thing worse. Did Trudeau announce a $1.5 million CMHC limit? Or was it Ford? Give your head a shake.

Who cares about the "payments" its the total cost/opportunity cost/net benefit that matters. A broke-ass couple making 400k could buy a 1.5M home in Toronto and pay over 110k in CMHC and land transfer taxes.... then over 1M in interest.
