A few months ago, we kicked off our first grants round with a 48 ETH pot for Octant growth. We funded community rounds and grantees such as: nacionbankless.twitter , @lottopgf, geniusyinka.twitter, @cryptoaltruism.eth, @followethrabbit & lanzdingz.twitter , @gitcoin, @climatenetwork, @hatsprotocol, @growthepie After a successful first round, we’re excited to kick off Round 2 of our Octant Community Fund with nearly double the funding. ⏳Applications open: 4 Nov - 22 Nov So what’s changing? Well we had a lot of learnings and we’ve refined the process and the program. ➡️ Opening up nominations. We opened the grants council process up so anyone could nominate themselves to be considered for the council. ➡️ Clearer instructions ++ improved organization for anyone applying ➡️ A refined rubric. We want projects who can strengthen ++ grow our Octant ecosystem More 👇

📌 We’ve got 3 funding categories this time: 1) GLM Locking Initiatives – if you can help grow GLM locking in Octant ++ epoch participation and governance engagement, this one’s for you. 2) Marketing — great at content and cutting through the noise? Chronically online and have an audience you really connect with? ✨✨Meet our Grants Council✨✨ @daveytea is the founder of @x23ai a suite of tools which helps DAOs and delegates make better decisions, faster. Previously he was an engineer on the Aave Genesis team, helped create the first Aave grants program, and deployed the first mainnet collateral swap in 2020. @clinamenic is a governance researcher and practitioner, who is passionate about digital public infrastructure for peer-to-peer coordination. @trigs is a DAOist exploring where web3 and governance intersect; passionately pursuing policies and procedures that purposefully produce practices that reduce reliance on permissioned authority and progressively decentralize points of failure.
