Why am I, a non-gamer, bullish on the gaming industry?

At a recent conference, a speaker shared a story about calling her daughter a gamer. The daughter quickly corrected her, saying, "I'm not a gamer. I’m just in Roblox every day." The mother responded, "Of course you're a gamer! You're in Roblox all the time." The moderator then chimed in, "That's not gaming, that's just like hanging out at the mall." This exchange hit home for me—gaming is evolving into much more than just playing; it’s becoming a digital town square.

As gaming becomes more entwined with social experiences, it will no longer be viewed as fringe but rather an experiential part of our lives. Gaming is an expansive space for experiences, and I believe it will be a major catalyst for informing and onboarding people at scale into new technologies and communities.
