Oblivion Fields - an intro thread 🧵🪡

Several months ago I had some art scraps laying on my desk and this unintended collage struck me as really beautiful and rather melancholic. The sight of it sent me down a path of exploring visual erasure and absence in my work.

I had been contemplating how to merge my physical practice with the digital realm but it always felt like translating it to digital erased certain aspects.  Conceptually, this erasure became more interesting than frustrating to me, over time.

Utilizing digital art applications and compression tools I scanned my physical pieces and compressed them to create more gaps in the translated visual information.
