How will I be able to do deep research without 4o though? We’ve hit escape velocity with the AI. Anyone not constantly using it will be left behind. Nobody wants faraday cages they want FU money. Until solved tech will be attached to the hip of everyone no able afford to step away.

Just finished "Co-Intelligence" by Ethan Mollick He dives into how we'll coexist & collaborate with AI Mollick envisions humans morphing into either centaurs or cyborgs - Centaurs: Divide tasks strategically, assigning to humans or AI based on strengths - Cyborgs: Fully integrate with AI, working seamlessly as a unified system At this point, I’m definitely a cyborg

I don't think Balaji is calling for this as a workspace. It seems more a call to create spaces where we rely on something other than tech to interact - e.g., a space where people gather and hang out without fear of phone notifications ringing or the distraction of a laptop. I'm thinking of the scene from "Careless People", where the author wrote about the time she emailed some materials for work from her laptop while she was giving birth at the hospital.
