looking lightly into the BLUR airdrop -- I had not really thought of airdrops in this way, but the core mechanic is a temporary reset the kind of stagnant default for capitalism where whales own most/all of the capital. you get this little period where it's evenly distributed again and then it quickly coagulates.

it is a STRUGGLE to set up entities that distribute the outcome of labor to folks actively working on a project vs passive investors not taking part in creation in the us. the toolset of capitalism is finely honed for it, and it takes some literal witchcraft to deviate.

realized today that I hadn't ever been exposed to intense techno-phobia before joining twitter. Everyone swirling around 2d AI image generating algos seems steeped in it, from scions of the new tech harbinging doom with little basis, to artists whose work is being used in data sets without their consent.

I think imperfection will emerge as one of the more valuable things in a "human" art style. when you are compiling a massive data set (with whatever algorithm), you naturally get a bit of a generalized version of what you are pulling from. Averages can be beautiful (symmetrical faces, smooth skin) but also boring.

Thinking about how lvl 1 feminism is marketed to women. It’s presented with a very limited dream (you can be a mother AND a CEO), on a branded shirt. @aletheia brought up it's like if someone has to explicitly tell you they are funny instead of it being obvious/part of who they are, they are probably not that funny.
