I'd pay for an app that will look at the user activity of all my followers, and flag the likely bots. Ideally FC would also facilitate a ‘forced unfollow’ capability that allows users to force certain accounts to stop following them.

Why do you want bots to not follow you? Other than inflating your stats, what does it affect?

(1) I want real relationships, not padded stats or “distribution” (2) It makes it hard (impossible?) to discipher implicit feedback from real humans when bots like everything

Fair enough. Seems a little complicated because I imagine you still want "humans you don't follow but are valuable as an audience". Maybe you'd rather filter out "humans who are not very valuable as an audience" along with the bots? All the people that join and follow 2000 people on day 1.

Gotta be handled as a filter on the "view" I think though. They are already headed that way with the update today to roll up your non-follow replies into a single line instead of detailed alerts. Maybe we need some kind of scoring overlay that can be tweaked per individual, and then the UI can filter via that.
