this was my conspiracy theory for why Dems pushed to do a debate so early before the convention - show Biden is in trouble and have a path to getting him out of the way

I agree but they should have run real elections for the nominee rather than trying to force him through and then back tracking

I do think his mental decline accelerated in the last ~6 months
