🚨 COMMUNITY UPDATE 🚨 We’ve made the difficult decision to delay launch—again. It’s not what we wanted—especially after all the excitement and support you’ve shown us. But we’ve got core infrastructure issues that need to be rock-solid before we can deliver what we’ve promised. We’re not there yet, and we’d rather hold off than ship something that doesn’t meet the mark. Here’s why we’re hitting pause: • 🧱 The backbone has to be solid. Smart contracts are just one piece—if the backend fails, everything else does too. We’re bulletproofing it. • ⏱️ We need to nail this, not rush it. A shaky launch risks letting you down, and that’s not an option. • 🔁 The plan needs to survive real-world chaos. It relied too much on ideal conditions—now we’re building in buffers and stress testing with real data. • 👀 You deserve the full picture. You’ve been all-in—spotting bugs, asking hard questions. Here’s the latest progress: ✅ Bug Fixed & Token Reconfigured The critical issue has been resolved, and our new token, NGUP, has been reconfigured to function seamlessly with Uniswap v3 and future CEX/DEX listings. This ensures better compatibility and long-term stability. 🔍 Security & Transparency Enhancements A community member raised concerns about an admin function related to glyph exemptions. In response, we renamed the function for clarity, added further documentation, and will provide a detailed explanation in our whitepaper. Community security is a top priority, and we appreciate the vigilance.

The community was eager, so we pivoted to Plan B: do it live. After announcing NGU, we deployed a "stealth" test token, and swaps worked. But as a self-funded project in a tough market, we had to be mindful of testing costs on Base mainnet—we didn’t attempt rapid bulk buys. We fair-launched NGU, locked liquidity, renounced ownership, and jumped in early ourselves. That’s when we caught the issue. It was too late. We were locked. The core problem? Swap fees allowed transactions to clear with incorrect amounts. We made the tough but right call to warn our community about the pool. It felt like the end, but it wasn’t. What We’re Fixing: ✅Redeploying on Uniswap v3 for better control and reliability. ✅Ensuring fair compensation for everyone who bought into the original pool. ✅More robust mainnet testing, even if it means higher upfront costs. ✅Better transparency on experimental mechanics so the community understands the risks.

To Our Community: Lessons Learned & Path Forward The Number Go Up game pushed the limits of what's possible with meme games. We combined Pandora Lab’s ERC-404 with ideas from Azuki’s ERC-721A, adding staking, custom airdrop systems (including ETH airdrops), and a Uniswap v4 hook to automatically fund rewards. The result? A fast, exciting experience that felt incredible to play. We rigorously tested our core token contracts locally and on Base Sepolia and Sepolia testnets, ensuring the logic was sound. But one challenge remained: testing the Uniswap v4 hook on Base Sepolia wasn’t possible. To make things worse, Sepolia—one of the few testnets with full Uniswap support—was painfully slow, taking 11 hours to mine 0.5 ETH and failing transactions unpredictably. Testnets can be unreliable, and unfortunately, the timing couldn’t have been worse.

There have been difficulties reported swapping in the uniswap v4 pool, which is due to a bug. We’ve been troubleshooting the issue, but in the meantime please DO NOT SWAP with the pool as it is incorrectly calculating swap fees. We’re working on it now and will share more information tomorrow. The number will go up! 🔥🔥🔥
