I think I work in the coolest industry in the world. #prosthetics #orthotics. This is the starting point of an electronic powered KAFO for an Orthotic Users

I used to be a dancer/fencer/judoka but am slightly disabled due to the combo of mild scoliosis & an injured right knee + mildly worn ligaments. If I'm a good test case would love to Beta it ๐

Wow have you worn any orthotics before? This device is out on the market already. Itโs for people with spinal injuries thatโs led to mild paralysis but will have trunk control. If you can still walk normally this device would be overkill for you. A knee brace or even insoles may suit you better.

Fair enough... I'm a medical anthropologist as well so I know orthotics and yes, I've worn orthotics, most of my shoes have orthotics. Based on what you're saying it's definitely overkill. I'm getting looked at for a knee brace soon, but even though your solution is overkill for me the current solutions are underperforming from my viewpoint. Guess I'm just mildly screwed until the science on ligament repair is further along ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ That or I'll need to take up swimming ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Thanks for responding though โบ๏ธ
