Looking at the outset, social security payments are up by 40%, which should mainly stay steady aside from changes due to retirement rates. My data reveals 65M people received SS in 2020 compared to 72.9M by 2024, marking just an 11% rise. Inflation doesn’t seem to explain this fully.
