I wouldn't call it a platformer, I'd call it more of an interactive experience, I guess? It's about the story that is being "read" to you by the character that you control

Fair, but I think there's an appeal to the narrative being read while you explore something visually. Another PERFECT example in my opinion is "What Remains of Edith Finch". God I LOVED that game.
