What triggered this idea? Under what circumstances would someone open the SoundOff app?

The product concept has had a long evolution and draws lots of different inspiration, but the trigger is the problem that our media increasingly feels out of touch with actual life. We are losing mutual understanding, empathy, and respect.

Someone opens the SoundOff app for the same reason they open Warpcast, Apple Podcasts, NYT, or any other media app - to connect through stories and ideas.
