Today's attempts from @nounishprof @rgboop.eth and @iamng to gather soldiers to target a castle inspired me for an idea: Troops. 

You join a troop via a command or by an invite. The head of the troop decides when to attack, and you get a random bonus multiplier (0.0 to 2.0) on the attack. Thoughts?

I'm currently obsessed and have no idea why lol It is stupidly engaging for reasons unknown.

We have been at wars for all of our recorded history. It's just wired in our brain as something natural, want it or not.

Plus I think our brain known how big the chemical release in close death situations are. So it's like drug addict effect kicking in. Tiny but enough to capture attention.
