reactions when i tell people i have internet friends (hi @nonlinear.eth) range from scoff to laughter. truth is: my farcaster friendships grew from trust built over hundreds of interactions in a place where freedom of expression and thought is encouraged, where online and offline selves can (and should) be continuous.

Was just talking about this with @adrienne — internet friends are as real as internet money! But it’s so hard to explain without sounding a lil crazy. And I feel closer to some of my online (onchain?) friends than some IRL ones. Add my age to the weirdness — feels like something I should be scoffing at.
