they could anyway (download and mint) but we're experimenting with making the most convenient way to do so, one where you get paid. the reasoning is that, as a creator, when you create something of value, you should "mint first, then distribute." you might post and then think, damn i should mint that, and now you can!

Copyright still applies — as do the remedies. If the media is not cc0 or similar, I wouldn’t recommend doing this. Slippery legal slope.

gotcha so how about this as our first iteration? 1. Anyone can use /sendit action 2. Then @bendit replies with frame 3. Only original caster can deploy yet to read any discussion that's happened in the past 9 hours while sleeping. guessing it's a bit controversial a solution to "where's the mint button?" perhaps

essentially, we want to streamline the process of bringing media onchain. so collectors paying the gas for artists and helping validate their ideas. we can leverage zora's "premint" feature, which essentially queues media for deployment, and "first minter" pays gas to deploy. ie. Every media cast = premint (opt-in)

I get that and understand first minter mechanics but minting artist/creator work for them may violate copyright. I would not want someone else reminting my work & diluting it w/out my permission. (only exception is cc0) What do you mean by opt-in? Can you block a cast from this action?

we can make it so only the original caster can deploy. that way it's on them to decide. but also, the action button replaces the often-seen reply "where's the mint button" and allows the artist to deploy in a click or two without even leaving warpcast. this would be a primitive that could bring offchain artists onchain
