published a proposal with @derekgtaylor to build a Nounish coffee shop in LA 🌴 TLDR: - buy and rebrand a shop - give out free coffee at Noun O’Clock - proliferate ⌐◨-◨ https://nouns.wtf/candidates/0x9097cdff0329382df4a17e86195cc664385656cb-a-nounish-coffee-shop--a-los-angeles-irl-to-url-nounish-experience

Might be good to rethink the budget a bit. Training seems high and don’t think a reserve is called for. If the DAO is funding the purchase (which hasn’t happened in the past so this is new for us), if profitable, is there a plan to give back to DAO via nouns bids? Compare to deli, very different approach.

regarding giving back to the DAO i hesitate to codify this and put the slim margins of a coffee shop at risk. what the DAO receives is proliferation of the meme that is Nouns on a large scale in a globally recognized city. i think that’s a pretty remarkable start! (3/x)

the training cost allows the shop to be closed for a rebrand and not push staff into unemployment + find a manager who can understand nouns and any nounish components like nouns o’clock. split the 150k across 12 months and it’s actually probably “too low” (2/x)

spent a lot of time thinking about the budget and fully believe that it’s as low as it could possibly go i know it’s a large ask, and it would also be ideal for it to be allotted it installments, but as someone who’s operated a coffee shop the upfront requirements are substantial (1/x)
