I checked out the Lens V3 docs last night. It feels like Lens is shifting from a social-first approach to a blockchain-first one. it's an EVM-compatible blockchain with powerful social features for developers. (AAVE chain 😂) With the SDK, you can easily build a social network client, even tailored to your audience with a custom graph. But tech isn’t the core for social networks, it’s content and real people. Any social app still faces the challenge of user acquisition and retention to build network effects. Lens V3 didn't answer for this, it's all left up to developers. https://dev-preview.lens.xyz/docs

I am pretty optimistic about V3. They do not solve the « how do we get DAU » problem, but they provide everything for others to try and solve it. Builders will be able to build faster and pivot easier than today.

How do you think it compares to the forecaster Lego blocks?

Hard to say as it is new and we have not played with it yet (not even sure there is a way to test now).
Lens API can be hard to get with the current version (V2) as there is still some onchain tx at posting time. However, the offer way more options than the current Farcaster Legos, with still the same "almost decentralized" with some features like clubs (kind of channels) still centralized. What makes the Farcaster developer experience
so good is a lot due to the abstractions and hydratation @neynar provides.
