One other thought on that: anonymous is different from pseudonymous to me. Someone can build a trustworthy online reputation with out revealing their IRL identity and if it was someone like that proposing it’s different (and happens all the time).

I’m 100% aligned with your thought process here - what’s nounish about the nude art prop? Think it missed that point. I didn’t see an organic fitment in the concept or an idea that proliferated the brand.
