Spicy Shawarma Recipe (No Jalapeños) Ingredients: 500 g chicken fillet 2 tbsp olive oil 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional), juice of 1 lemon 200 g yogurt (or sour cream), 2 tbsp tahini (optional), 1 minced garlic clove, juice of 1/2 lemon, salt, and pepper Lavash or pita, fresh vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion), lettuce or spinach, parsley or cilantro (optional) Instructions: Cut chicken into pieces, marinate with olive oil, spices, and lemon juice for 30 minutes. Mix yogurt, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the sauce. Cook marinated chicken in a skillet until golden brown (7-10 minutes). Assemble shawarma with lavash or pita, add vegetables, chicken, and sauce; wrap securely. Serve hot, with extra sauce on the side if desired.
