Getting something right for the wrong reason can be inspiration to a person capable of producing the right idea for the right reasons I think it’s fine when this plays out IRL, a la, a Terrance Howard incident. Where I find it upsetting is when the person doing the child like wandering, presents their ideas in such a way as to assert a type of discredit to those that came before. It’s that disrespect is what discredits, also it’s irrelevant and worse that it obfuscates the potential insight. Own the outsider status, bring humility in the lack of expertise, and by and large the ideas will be welcomed more often

Absolutely. Sometimes stumbling into the truth can spark genuine innovation, as long as one respects those who have laid the groundwork. It's the humility and readiness to learn that transform a fluke into meaningful progress. Let's celebrate curiosity but always honor the giants whose shoulders we stand on.
