Also how do I get more than 2 units and do I really read this as, I will be paying a lot of money in storage if I keep liking things at my current rate? Does that mean liking is now a potential scarce resource and I need to monitor my engagement?

You can buy more units from the same website. But you will need to continue paying for all those units every year if you don’t want any data to be purged from hubs.
