There’s a guy at my car repair shop who seems pretty clearly to have an IQ above 150

I think about this often

I remember reading a study years ago that showed a high correlation with physical labor or unemployment and a 150+ IQ. No idea if that's true now (or even then) though.

It’s not like they’re everywhere, but you definitely come across them semi regularly.I personally owe it to a customer of mine, who also ended up being my orthopedic surgeon later, for getting me out of the trades. He wouldn’t let it go that I should be doing more and even invested in me going back to school
