I know a company that was using Stripe. The business sold $300k worth of goods and services to their customers. Stripe decided they didn’t like the business. Stripe returned $300k to the customers even though the customers had received their intended goods and services. The business essentially just ran a $300k marketing campaign directed by Stripe

That's crazy! Stripe basically forced a business to run a $300k free promo. How is that even fair?

It’s not, and he’ll never get it back in the way he should, because it’s a larger waste of time and money to try and make it a legal affair which he’d almost certainly lose. The best way to handle it is as a promo and to measure it that way as well, then he has a chance to convert that bullshit event into a win
