I like the idea behind gigbot, but it feels like you either have to spam everything without caring about your image — or it’s really hard to find gigs that actually fit your feed.

Agreed. The initial engagement must have spiked because of its novelty but as far as follow gigs are concerned, personally, id follow only if it aligns with the community id like to build around myself That being said, ive actually noticed multiple new use cases coming up - product feedback - play game to graduate - get traction if a user is trying to trouble shoot but the team isn’t responding Etc

There are many ways to use it and it is certainly a great way to use it, perhaps mine was more a request for filters so that I could find something shareable more quickly according to my criteria
