a soft currency like sparks makes sense in consumer apps, simplifying onboarding and usage. it makes sense for more projects to integrate it, making it interoperable - earn sparks in zora, spend them anywhere otherwise, if every app creates its own soft currency, we end up in the same situation as today, with users not having a clue which token to use and where

I'm skeptical we want to fragment the UX across a bunch of different in app currencies but def want to make it easy and intuitive and I am confident we can do that

agree on fragmenting, but my point was more on a broad solution. take this example: i go running; @receipts instead of points gives me sparks. then i go to @zora and i can mint content. on @kiosk, someone collects it, i get sparks from referral rewards. i can then subscribe on @hypersub, etc. we have a small ecosystem right now, but if we make a smooth integration between current apps, we can have best practices on how users can be retained and be able to use what they earn on different solutions the first example of this was $degen; now get that to a soft currency where users don't even realize they are onchain. is like being able to play different games with the same assets

big fan of sparks, but i think usd is the ultimate globally recognized denominator. our plan is to display all prices and rewards in usd by default, with a user setting to denominate in eth

and that’s magic! already love how you guys let users pay with any token back to sparks, was more on oboarding. soft currency is easy for new users to get - apple pay - than having to go through current onramp solutions
