Celebrating “Maestro” Hayao Miyazaki! 🎉

Today we wanted to celebrate the 84th birthday of Hayao Miyazaki, a true wizard of the animation world.

His creativity is shaped by an unorthodox process. Before completing his scripts, he starts to put his dreams and ideas down on paper. He tends to deviate from the original script and goes deeper into his stories, creating a magical world through drawing. This is his way of expressing his inner world; he releases the colorful images in his mind and then puts them together.

Miyazaki's films tell the adventures of children and reveal the purity of their hearts. But it's not just for children; he also boldly tackles deep issues such as the environment, war and human values. His works convey important messages to his viewers, while opening our eyes to a fascinating world.
