In my early twenties, I started a business with my friends. The business grew successfully, and we achieved great results. However, after more than a decade, conflicts over management policies caused a rift in relationships, and ultimately, I experienced the setback of being dismissed as an executive and losing everything.
When your position changes, many people distance themselves or change their attitudes. My life goals had to be reset. However, I also realized that there are many people who continue to interact with me as they always have, and others who still say they want to work with me. That was enough for me. I see it as a valuable opportunity to recognize what is truly important.
I haven’t determined my next goal yet, but I have resolved to face what is important to me now and work toward making it a reality. 16 replies
