accidentally pulled off a socket with the cable off the PCB...

simple soldering iron recommendations?

never mind the connector was undamaged and could be snapped back on. 

just took the whole thing apart and put it back together. 

the amount of standoffs for every little thing in the casing and structural support is incredible. learned a lot doing this. 

unsure how i will tackle converting this mouse to fit into a vertical casing when the scroll wheel is soldered to the board. i think i’ll have to make a snap-in base that elevates the mouse at a desired angle and has a set of mirrors reflecting the optical sensor onto the desk (?)
