Interesting. Makes a bit more sense at Costco but still odd imo.

it bothers me so much that gold has been valuable since eternity it's so weird why do people care about it. it has some uses but it's crazy that people are still like yeah that's what i want to represent my wealth. a shiny rock that does nothing. (bitcoin)

the world just decided this shiny gold jewelry rock will be the most valuable thing and then here we are forever later going with it still 🤣 w/e  it does sound kinda fun to get a bunch of gold coins

I've had similar thought before. I can understand it having value for it's industrial use and/or it's scarcity, but value due to it being shiny and yellow is certainly odd.
