Early christmas present for the community 🎁 Open sourced the discove react-native/expo mobile app Might be helpful to some builders as reference code https://github.com/discove-xyz/discove-farcaster-expo-app

Didn’t even realize Discove had a mobile app! Wonder if it’s worth sharing lessons learned building Discove, if you’ve not already done one

hm not sure, but could try to do one. I think a big one is: When building in consumer, it's all about building an app users will open 2x a day on their own accord, by habit. Users build habits around apps, not protocols, and it's thus its really hard to get adoption & retention for new or niche apps;

I know it’s important to pay the bill, but why are we trying to make something addictive for the user, trying to create a habit…. I mean, is good product = detrimental to the user’s productivity

it's the nature of the market for low-intent activity apps 🤷 opening 2 times a day is not the same as addiction. I'm a 2x DAU of warpcast and I'm not addicted, nor is it a bad habit for me. I think the advertising model is to blame and hopefully we can monetize web3 social in another way
