Hey @johanna I saw a post of yours about water ftilers thanks to @adamhurwitz.eth a while back. Could you share some more details around you current setup? How portable is it? 🙏

Any thoughts on dmail.ai? Any other interesting alternatives that fuse web2 email with web3? Ideally I'd love some zk magic to anonymize all things mail a bit.

Would be interesting to read how Proton are securing their servers, and also read their independent security audit reports. Here's some of that info for Mullvad. https://mullvad.net/en/blog/we-have-successfully-completed-our-migration-to-ram-only-vpn-infrastructure

Extensions is interesting, I kind of don't like em from a security perspective. I think most people are way too liberal when it comes to installing extensions and give them excess rights to their browsers/machines.

Pretty sure they depend on Google to maintain the quality of Chromium. For a true open source alternative I have high hopes for https://ladybird.org/ and their web engine. Early days but they are moving fast

Gm, how come so many use those coffee capsules without a care in the world? Boiling water poured through plastic filled with low quality coffee.

Since I would never use their VPN service (see why below) I'm skepctical against using their service for this too. I don't think they will sell the data but I also don't trust that they are not saving the data. In my opinion they are not transparent enough on how they protect users data, against themselves and others. That's why I personally use Mullvad for my VPN needs.

"Attackers always use VPNs" is untrue. However, almost all big and lazy corporations block VPN providers by default, because they don't want to do real security work ;)

Gm. whats the shortest mobile number I can get? Don't really care about country extension but want a serious telco (avoid sim swapping). Bonus points if it's usable world wide..

Makes sense, I might start using it in the interim. I'm also considering rolling my own, if I use a good TLD that could be a solid alternative. Not really keen on Proton and all their centralized collection of a lot of traffic data (VPN, mail, etc). I think providers such as Mullvad have done a more credible job of communicating trust.
