What are some ways in which expensive products can be worse than cheaper ones?

Examples that come to my mind:

* Expensive clothes can be much less convenient to clean
* In expensive hotel rooms it's often harder to figure out how to turn off all the lights
* Expensive restaurants often have less choice in menus

Expensive sunglasses break more easily than cheap ones.

On a similar note, I haven't been keeping track formally but I have noticed a roughly zero correlation between how expensive shoes are and how long they last.

Margins are usually >7x markup with these types of items. That markup is mostly benefitting your social stats vs function. Replicas (S tier and up) can give you the function without paying ridiculous prices.
