$BTC hits an All Time High of $110,797 To think its Bitcoin Pizza day today🤔 On May 22, 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 BTC for two Papa John's pizzas. He posted on the Bitcointalk forum offering the Bitcoins to anyone who would order him pizza. A fellow user took him up on the offer, and the transaction was completed. Just wow 👌 Why is it significant? It was the first time Bitcoin was used to buy a tangible good, proving that it had real-world utility beyond just being a digital experiment. At the time, 10,000 BTC was worth about $41. At Bitcoin’s all-time high, those 10,000 BTC were worth over $600 million. 🚀🔥🔥 How is it celebrated? Crypto communities around the world commemorate the day with pizza parties, memes, and social media posts. It serves as a reminder of how far Bitcoin and the crypto space have come. Also, Karel Kubat, the founder of Union Labs, didn't start his career in tech. He began in biochemistry, working on genomics and data analytics. It was during this time that he caught the coding bug. Realizing that the pharmaceutical path wasn't for him, he transitioned into software development around 2015. His first paycheck? He invested it in Ethereum, marking the start of his crypto journey. Likewise myself. We're transitioning. Be fearless! It's a testament to how diverse backgrounds can lead to groundbreaking innovations in Web3.
