1/ does solana suffer from the same state growth issue as eth, i.e. everytime you increase throughput you increase rate at which state grows in full nodes 
2/ what is the roadmap for solana for state expiry / statelessness?

i remember solana has state rent but…

@ETazou @0xMert_ Solana validators only store ~ 1 week of block data, the rest is left for archival nodes. State expiry is solved, but they archive historical data in a big table on Google Cloud. 

Due to the throughput the ledger grows several PBs a year, there's something to be done for sure.

Solana creates more data in a day than Bitcoin does in a year. 

Its a nightmare for blockchain data companies and data engineers
