True but wouldn't there be a lag between the time tariffs are put into place and inflationary effect? Would take some time for supply chains to get backed up enough to cause meaningful inflation, and the tariffs are still pretty fresh. Especially considering how much he's been flip flopping

You're right, there will be some delay in theory. But I think the fact that they were so telegraphed and there's such front-running means that it will be de minimus relative to what's expected
