Pharmaceutical company CelaCare is suing stablecoin issuer Circle, demanding a refund of $1 million in USDC sent to the wrong address and "destroyed" by its CEO Kenneth Yates due to mishandling. The lawsuit claims that on July 3, 2024, Yates mistakenly entered the letter B in the address as the number "8" when sending USDC from his Coinbase account, resulting in the funds entering an unclaimed and inaccessible wallet address. CelaCare requests the court to confirm that USDC has been destroyed and demands Circle to compensate $1 million. However, Circle rejected the refund request on September 6th. @drug01 @setter
