There will be a bunch of communication to channel owners about the changes (beyond just casts) 3. One point of clarification that I saw come up yesterday: membership does not require your channel to have a token. Can you choose to do that? Yes! Are you required? No. Your channel, your rules. Let's use my boost to discuss topics, products, and people that really inspire me as a founder. First in this list is @privy 💜 I met @henri in the early days of Privy when they were still developing a decentralized storage system. Since then, I've followed their experimentations, pivot, and progress at arm's length. They are among the most impressive teams I've ever witnessed & worked with. Everyone on the team is stellar, starting with Henri's co-founder, Asta! And the whole team is like this, from the support engineer in the trenches to Privy's lighthouse (aka @segall). Not only do they ship fast, but they also ship well. Every new feature is properly tested, documented, and communicated. I've been a founder long enough to recognize great work when I see it 🔥 They make it look easy. Their talent is bringing the incredible but raw technologies that crypto is producing into the hands of mainstream users. @fairmint's UX has increased a lot thanks to them 🙏 I wish I were an investor 😅

PSA — wanted to let everyone know that next week we're hosting ~50 developers in the Farcaster ecosystem for a 1-day "Dev Day" in Los Angeles. We invited wide group of developers from the ecosystem. Inevitably there will be a few people who will feel left out. So here's what we plan to do: 1. We're running a Farcaster Developer Survey and will publish the results of the survey. 2. We're planning to share a summary of what is discussed at dev day after the event. 3. We will also do a developer session on a video livestream for those that weren't able to attend to get a chance to give feedback and ask questions. 4. If Dev Day goes well, we will likely do another one in the future.

8. So here’s what we are doing to improve this so new good users aren’t mislabeled as spam: a. Continually refine the spam model by identifying incorrectly labeled people (that feeds back into the model and makes it better); good existing users on the network reporting incorrect labels is really valuable here b. Warnings to users before they are labeled spam so they have a chance to adjust their behavior c. Increase the number of signals our model uses to help filter out bots vs. people d. Working a new version of channels that give owners / moderators complete control of who appears in their channel (so a Warpcast spam label won’t affect casts in the channel) 2/2

I was just standing beside someone who ordered a literal soy latte. I think until this point I didn't even realize that soy lattes exist as an actual drink; my mind only recognized the term "soy latte" as a standardized culture war slur that the opposite tribe sometimes uses against my archetype.
