The idea of working on a laptop on a tropical island, as the end goal of financial independence is a bit of a silly idea. Some time after I finally felt financially secure, I took 1 day to actually try it. But on a tropical island its humid, and if youre working on a laptop on a sunny day, the screen glare will be very bothersome. I did a little work, and caught up on some reading, but quickly realized: I'd rather be reading or working in my office than on the beach!
