A Rough Week for Liverpool First, they crashed out of the Champions League. Now, they’ve lost the League Cup final. Essentially, their season is already winding down—they’re now 12 points behind Arsenal in the Premier League. Meanwhile, a historic moment for Newcastle—their first domestic trophy in 70 years, and well deserved. And of course, massive respect to Eddie Howe: • Saved Newcastle from relegation (joined when they were 19th). • Led them to the Champions League for the first time in 20 years. • Won Newcastle’s first major domestic trophy since 1955. • Became the first English manager to win silverware with a Premier League club in 16 years (the last was Redknapp in 2008). Saudi money is powerful, but without Howe, none of this would have happened.
