I’m attending game 11 of the World Chess Championship 2024 in Singapore between defending world champion Ding Liren (32 y.o., ELO 2728) and challenger Gukesh Dommaraju (18 y.o., ELO 2783). Score after 10 games so far is tied at 5:5 (1 win each + 8 draws). Tie-breaks will start after game 14 as needed.

Veeeery slow. Ding Liren thought for 50 minutes on move 4 and Gukesh for 60 minutes on move 10… I can’t spend that long devising lines in my feeble mind so it was a bit like watching the paint dry.
