Experiment: Hiding power badges

Power badges will be hidden on Warpcast for a week. We’re running this experiment because:

1. New user find it hard to get follows due to “power badge bias”
2. Power badge isn’t being used much in Warpcast anymore.

Update: experiment was a success, power badge is no more in Warpcast!

Active users saw no impact and new users benefitted from this change. Warpcast will remove power badges from the UI permanently. 

If you are a developer who uses Power Badge, @neynar will continue supporting the Power Badge API for you.

instead of taking the badge away, you should have given users the ability to bet and take each other’s badges away

i would think twice about trolling a profile that obtained like 5 power badges from different users
