can I pay crypto? no? what if I pay double?

As feedback to the coinbase team: I convinced a family member's small business to implement cb commerce last year and they had a few issues with returns which happen in USDC regardless of what you pay in. This was a recent change and hurt their ability to attract crypto-natives who wanted to pay in eth/btc and led to a bunch of customer complaints. 
Would love to see that fixed!

yea probably at the very least. especially for bitcoin heads that want to pay with btc must be pretty annoyed at getting USDC on base or something.

What would you say the fix is? Returning them the US dollar value they would have got, in ETH or BTC, even if that’s less ETH or BTC than they had paid for it?
