Rebranding an app with a beloved logo to a generic letter-based logo that everyone has an opinion on and shares that opinion on said app?

For what it’s worth, X is 10 times a better name/brand than Warpcast in my personal humble opinion. 

Hard to pronounce, has replaced fc in people’s minds as the whole network, nerdy. 

Cast would’ve been a much much better name
