In the last cycle individual contracts were launched and we hoped they were safe, like downloading apps from sketchy forums. 

Platforms like @clanker, @undefined, and pump.fun deserve immense credit for bringing consistency + safety to our bags.

first: tokens compete on profit (number go up)

now: tokens compete on fairness (locked liquidity, distribution)

next: tokens compete on culture (what does it feel like to be part of the network?)

i think actually i might flip 2 and 3 in order esp if we generalize 2 a bit more

i've seen culture attraction more often (higher obv being one but many prior) than those with good token mechanics i.e., fairness, only allowing long term aligned folks, token stability mechanics etc
